Use only strong, corrugated
cartons with covers. |

Use small boxes for the heaviest
items such as books. |

Pack largest and heaviest items in
bottom of box first. |

Each carton has to be sealed securely
with packing tape. |

Remember to mark cartons for fragile
items clearly and inform movers to be careful. |

Label all cartons with markers for
identifying their basic contents and their designated
rooms. |

Save old newspapers for use in packing,
but remember ink from newspaper may be messy at times.

A carton must be completely fiiled,
either with goods or filler paper, to make sure it won't
collapse under the weight of a carton placed on top of
it. |

Be sure all items are well
padded and use old newpaper to fill empty space inside
cartons. |

Valuables should be removed and kept
by you. |

Drawers in furniture should be cleared
of liquid and heavy items. light clothing only may be
left in sturdy furniture. |

Generally, self packing will take
about 2 weeks to complete. Start your packing as early
as possible. |
